Clare Woodall
Singing Teacher
About
I am a PGCE-qualified Music teacher with a specialism in vocal performance. I offer one-to-one singing lessons from my home near Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
My style of teaching is focused on building confidence and developing secure technique. I want my students to feel both inspired and encouraged in their vocal abilities. I teach a wide range of styles and repertoire and I prepare students for music exams, scholarship auditions and performances.
My own vocal training is diverse, having trained with teachers including Miriam Allan, Veronica Grange and Rebecca Moseley-Morgan. I was a choral scholar whilst studying at Cambridge and have also sung for a number of years with Schola Pietatis Antonio Vivaldi, with whom I recorded a BBC documentary in Venice. Roles in other productions have included Belinda in Dido and Aeneas and as Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro with Theatre de la Grange in Valprivas, France. I also undertake regular private engagements such as weddings, funerals and local community events.
